Dr. Hamad opened Rivet to give adults a careful exam after a fall or whiplash. He explains each finding and each option before care starts.
About us
Rivet is a small chiropractic practice in Pittsburgh. Dr. Jamil Hamad opened it to care for adults after a fall, a car crash or a sports collision, with a focus on how the neck and nervous system are working. Two more doctors work with him.
Every first visit starts with a conversation and an exam of balance, eye movement and neck motion. We explain what we find, say what chiropractic can and cannot do about it, and send you back to your physician when that is the better next step.
We look and listen before we treat.
We share what we find with them when you ask us to.
Risks, cost and options are part of every visit.

What we do not do
A clear edge is part of safe care. These are the limits of what we do.
A physician does that. If you may have hit your head, see one first. We can work alongside them afterward.
No concussion diagnosis
No treatment of brain injury
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and reviews it with you. We do not promise a number of visits or an outcome.
No set number of visits
No promised outcome
X-rays are taken only when medically necessary, and your doctor tells you why first.
No routine X-rays
